Hello and Welcome!

Thank you for visiting The Linux Alternative Project forum. My goal has always been to provide an informational site for all linux users.

Enjoy your stay but a few reminders:

Dear Scott,

Had come across this nice site while getting lost ! Great to have come across this site. Apart from alternatives to Windows, I would like to know how to make windows 7 compatible to partition and load Ubuntu 10.04. If I am not asking these Q's in the right place, please guide me. Thanks, once again. Great fun !

vardhanapu, welcome to the forums!

To make sure your question is clear, you're looking for a way to run Ubuntu in your Windows 7?
If that is correct; I'd suggest looking at VirtualBox and creating a Ubuntu virtual machine.

Let me know if that answers your question.
